Azurite, Rubies and Gold *4/30*

IMG_8918.1

Don't ask me why but I've been reading a lot on rocks and mineral lately, hence its presence in the title of this post. Can you tell I'm unemployed? In all fairness, I've actually been really busy, sending and writing resumes, cover letters and personalized portfolios. I've applied to a whole bunch of publishing houses so fingers cross maybe one of them will bite. They don't have positions open (at least on their websites) but who knows when they might need someone or maybe they need someone and just haven't put the word out. Either way, I'm glad I'm trying despite the overwhelming nature of this whole job interview and applications process.

This dress is another one of my 30 in 30 dresses, and this one I also bought when I was in Berlin, once more from Who Killed Bambi. This is one of their reconstructed vintage dresses and this dress was the reason I stopped in the shop. The pattern on it was mesmerizing and I just couldn't leave it behind. I didn't have time to try it on when we first past by but I made us return to go and get it from the other end of the city once we had the chance. And after spending some actual time in the store I learned how amazing it truly was. (More info in the last post.)

One of the reasons this dress was perfect for the trip was it was so light and yet so striking as a piece all on its own. Yes I brought belts and other accessories but with the fantastic neck line of the dress and the gorgeous pattern, leaving it alone and letting it speak for itself is a wonderfully easy thing. No muss, no fuss. Perfect.
